Kobe Bryant may make great decisions on the basketball court, but boy did he make a huge mistake with this one.
The Los Angeles Times reported the NBA Lakers superstar never signed a per-nuptial agreement before tying the knot with Vanessa and now he’s going to lose a lot.
According to the newspaper, his ex-wife will receive all three of Bryant’s Newport Beach homes, totaling about $75 million. And one of those homes is in the middle of being built, but will still be handed over to her.
But Yahoo Sports reported that this is what the basketball player wanted, a swift divorce procedure with no drama.
According to the site, Bryant is willing to give into all of Vanessa’s demands, as long as she doesn’t make the media rounds bad-mouthing him and spilling secrets about their 10-year marriage, including rumors he slept with hundreds of other women during his marriage.
The three homes represent about half of the former couple’s total assets. When the two got married in April of 2001, they never put together a prenup, probably to the delight of Vanessa.
And while Bryant may be able to easily part ways with material possessions, but it could become a nasty battle for the kids.
The two have two daughters together, nine-year-old Natalia Diamante and six-year-old Gianna Maria-Onore.
